Allenson is the founder of Improving with Improv. He trained and performed
improv comedy at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigrade (alumni include Amy
Poehler, cast members of Saturday Night Live and the Daily Show). While training and performing there, he saw a
strong connection between the techniques of improv comedy andcommon business issues so he built a
curriculum on those tenets.
Charlie
has conducted his workshops at a variety of businesses and organizations
including GE, Accenture, the Department of Defense, Aflac, the law firm of Lowenstein Sandler, Novartis
Pharmaceuticals, New York Presbyterian Cornell Weill Medical Center and Coach
Leather.
As an award winning copywriter and creative director in the advertising field he wrote for and worked with such luminaries as the Fruit of the Loom Guys, Robin Williams and Charlie the Tuna.
He lives in NYC where every day is unscripted, and improvising is the key to survival.
